AI can and should be used in education when its use is transparent, serves a pedagogical purpose and remains under human (teacher) oversight. The most important distinction is whether the tool helps the learner to think or produces an unchecked product in the learner’s place. Responsible practice develops AI literacy, institutional rules and assessment methods together.
